Commitment
The Traffic Safety Commission (CST) is committed to making this portal accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in accordance with Act 229 of 2003 of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 level AA), and Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act.
Compliance status
This portal partially complies with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Exceptions are documented below and are being addressed in an active remediation plan.
Accessibility features implemented
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
- ARIA roles in menus, forms, and the chatbot.
- Verified color contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text).
- Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion preference.
- Spanish / English language switcher.
- Minimum touch-target size of 44×44 px.
Known limitations
- Some downloadable PDF documents do not yet meet the PDF/UA standard.
- English course content is being reviewed by a professional translator.
